Question 1

Which Starlink does it fit?

Accepted Answer

The Starlink Mini, and only the Mini. We built the whole enclosure around the Mini's dimensions and its mounting points rather than trying to make one housing stretch across the range, which is why it holds the terminal as tightly as it does. If you are running a Standard or a Gen 3 terminal, this is not the mount for you, and we would rather tell you that now than after it arrives.

Question 2

Does the lid lock?

Yes. The Starlink Mini sits under a hinged lid with a keyed, push to close latch. Press the lid shut and it locks itself, so there is no key to remember at the end of the day. The key is only needed to open it again, and once it is unlocked the dish lifts out without tools.

Question 3

How does the cooling work?

Accepted Answer

The DC-DC converter and the cooling are built into the housing, so there is no separate converter to mount in the vehicle. Two thermostatically controlled 12V fans move air through the housing when it is needed.

What do I need to supply?

Accepted Answer

A fused 12V feed from the vehicle up to the mount, terminated in an Anderson plug. That is genuinely the only connection you make. The lead that runs from the mount into the terminal is already part of the unit and made up before it leaves us, so there is nothing to crimp, solder or work out on the roof.

Will the fans flatten my battery?

No. They are thermostatically controlled, so they only run when they are needed and work in short bursts rather than sitting there spinning all day. Two 40mm 12V fans draw very little current even while they are running, and most of the time they are not running at all.

Will it fit my roof rack?

Accepted Answer

The universal slotted base suits the vast majority of roof racks, platforms and trays without any drilling, which covers almost every vehicle we see. If your setup is unusual, send us your vehicle and roof details before you order and we will work out a solution for it. We make one-off brackets regularly, so this is standard workshop work for us.

How do I order?

Pick your colour on the Power Hub page, add it to your cart and check out. Payment goes through Shopify's secure checkout, with prices in Australian dollars including GST. If you are ordering for a fleet or a workshop, use the fleet or trade pages instead so we can quote it properly.

Question 8

Is shipping free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Standard shipping is free to any address in Australia. Once your parcel is lodged, its tracking details are emailed to you automatically.

Question 9

Do you ship overseas?

Accepted Answer

Yes, to New Zealand, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Export freight is charged at cost: on a normal order it is worked out at checkout once you enter your address, and on fleet and trade orders it is included in your quote. Export orders do not include Australian GST, and any import duty or VAT in your country is paid by you.

How do I get in touch?

Question 11

Do you have fleet pricing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The price per unit drops as the order grows: 1 to 9 units $499.99, 10 to 49 units $449.99, 50 to 99 units $399.99, 100 or more units $349.99, per complete Power Hub ex GST. A written quote confirms the price and branding for each order, and larger programs are priced on request.

Question 12

Can you put our company logo on the lid?

Yes, for fleet orders. We laser cut your logo into the lid, so it is part of the lid itself rather than a sticker. Send us your logo file and we make the final artwork from it, then send it back to you for sign-off before anything is cut.

Question 13

Do you offer trade accounts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Trade accounts are open to auto-electricians, 12V shops, 4WD fitters and Starlink installers in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. Apply on our trade partners page and we send trade pricing once your application is in.

Question 14

Can someone fit it for me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Kettle Trusted Installers are local workshops that have fitted our Starlink Mini mounts and are set up to handle the fitting and the 12V side. Search by postcode or suburb to find one near you.
