3 mm UV-Tinted Acrylic Cover — Standard

- Guards against dust and debris while maintaining airflow.
- Fully removable for cleaning or replacement; stainless fasteners supplied.
Universal M8 Slot Mounting Base (No-Drill)
Precision-cut M8 slots throughout the base allow direct installation to all major roof-rack systems using each manufacturer’s channel bolts or T-slot hardware. No drilling required — bolt straight in for a secure, factory-grade fit.
- Pump-style suction mount for smooth, non-porous surfaces — fast on/off with built-in check indicator.
- Rubber-coated magnet (Ø66 mm pot with 15 mm boss, M6 external stud) for paint-friendly, low-profile mounting.
- Both attach via the mount’s M8 slots using appropriate hardware and can be removed or re-positioned as needed.
Integrated Cooling — Twin 40 mm Fans & Thermostat Control
- Two 40 mm 12 V fans promote directed airflow through the mount to maintain stable operating temperatures for the step-up converter and the Starlink unit.
- Normally-open ~40 °C thermostat closes at approximately 40 °C to switch fans ON, then opens again as temperatures drop — automatic, no manual switching.
- Ducted intake/exhaust path minimises dust ingress and improves heat rejection.
- Low-draw circuit with inline fuse for protection.
Optional 12 V → 30 V Step-Up Converter (Internal Fitment Supported)
- The lockable housing has space to mount the converter internally for a neat, weather-protected install.
- Plug-and-play output via the factory Starlink barrel plug (pre-wired lead recommended).
- Accepts input from your 12 V/24 V system (Anderson-style connection recommended).

Studies & Evidence
Operating temperature limit: Starlink technical specs list typical operating ranges up to around +50 °C.
Heat can disrupt service: In extreme heat, dishes may throttle or shut down. A thermostatically-controlled airflow path helps maintain performance.
