Fan-Cooled Rooftop Power Hub for Starlink Mini
Everything needed to run a Starlink Mini on a roof, inside one enclosure. An integrated voltage booster and a thermostat-controlled cooling system sit under a stepped 6mm UV-stable acrylic lid, with a moulded elastomer cover between the road and the terminal.
One Enclosure. Everything Inside.
Manufactured from CNC laser-cut and folded 3mm aluminium and built in Somerville, Victoria, this is the smallest footprint enclosure we have made. The voltage booster, the cooling system and the terminal connections are all integrated, so a single 12V supply is all that has to reach the roof.
Key Features
The most compact enclosure we have built
The smallest footprint in the range, so it takes up less roof rack or platform space while still carrying the full power and cooling system.
Integrated voltage booster
The step-up converter is built in, so the Starlink Mini runs from a standard vehicle 12V supply with no separate converter to find a home for.
Thermostat-controlled cooling
Cooling is switched by an automotive thermostat switch, so the fans work when the temperature calls for it rather than running constantly.
Stepped 6mm acrylic lid
UV-stable acrylic with a stepped face that sheds water off the lid instead of letting it pool, and adds impact protection over a flat thin cover.
Moulded elastomer terminal cover
A moulded cover sits between the dish and the mount, helping dampen vibration and holding the terminal steady inside the enclosure.
Designed and built in Somerville
CNC laser-cut and folded 3mm aluminium, assembled with stainless hardware and finished in a durable powder coat.
Water Runs Off, No Pooling.
Parked flat in the rain, water pools on top of a conventional mount, and water is not RF transparent.
The stepped face sheds it instead of letting it collect, and the thicker 6mm section adds impact protection and heat shielding over a flat thin cover.
Thermostat-Controlled Cooling.
The cooling system runs from vehicle 12V through the integrated step-up converter and is switched by an automotive thermostat switch.
It is designed to help reduce the likelihood of heat-related throttling when the Starlink Mini is working in harsh outdoor conditions.
One Supply To The Roof.
Because the booster and the cooling system are inside the enclosure, the only thing that has to reach the roof is a 12V supply, connected using Anderson connections.
Full installation detail and rack compatibility are being confirmed and will be published with the complete specifications.
Installation features
- Compact mounting footprint
- Single 12V vehicle supply
- Anderson connections for the supply
- Booster and cooling already integrated
Durability and Protection.
Constructed from CNC laser-cut and folded 3mm aluminium with a stepped 6mm UV-stable acrylic lid, the hub is built for permanent outdoor mounting. Stainless hardware is used throughout, the latch is a lockable push-to-close zinc alloy unit, and the housing is finished in a durable powder coat.
